AIM 2026 Strengthens Dual Use Innovation Pipeline

Our signature annual event was an overwhelming success. Designed to showcase San Antonio’s defense health ecosystem, AIM brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and military leaders to accelerate the development of medical innovations for both military and civilian use.

Organized by VelocityTX and UT San Antonio with the City of San Antonio and Bexar County, the event featured DoD SME Encounter Sessions, which gave private sector companies direct access to military subject matter experts, as well as pitch coaching and programming designed to promote cross-sector collaboration.

Valion Bio Celebrates Relocation, Grand Opening of Subsidiary Velocity Bioworks

Valion's relocation to the campus is a strong signal of confidence in San Antonio, the Near Eastside, and the future of our city’s bioscience sector. For VelocityTX, this is exactly the kind of outcome we hoped this campus would support: attracting private-sector investment, growing San Antonio’s bioscience and defense health ecosystem, and creating opportunities for jobs, partnerships, and future investment.

Tenant Spotlight

Valedyn Lands at VelocityTX.

Valedyn, the U.S. entity of a Belgian medical innovation group, has joined VelocityTX as a tenant. The company is developing TA-64, an intravenously administered vascular and metabolic stabilizer with direct relevance to prolonged casualty care.

Its presence on campus is a strong proof point for VelocityTX’s national positioning: international companies are choosing San Antonio for its trauma, prehospital, and disaster care ecosystem, including federal partners, clinical infrastructure, and translational pathways.

VelocityTX is becoming a launchpad for companies working at the intersection of military medical need and civilian clinical translation.
